Can you run pcsx2 on Android?

PS2 emulation on Android has really heated up recently thanks to the surprise emergence of Aether SX2. Now today, PCSX 2, the legendary PS2 emulator on PC. While they've spoken up and issued a statement on the entire matter, and this news is huge, I'll leave a link to this official statement. I do recommend checking it out. The title says hey there Aether SX2 brings PCSX 2 to mobile.

Statement 1, The title alone is huge, they say, an exciting bit of news as you have probably seen by now. There's a new Android emulator in town called Aether SX2 which shows to have very promising performance and compatibility, while the latter is due to it being based on an LG.The licensed emulator for PC that's us PCSX 2.

The former is due to clever work of the developer Tawrat. They then go on to state as you can expect. At first we were very skeptical about this due to the whole situation with Damon PS2 that you may remember. If you don't remember, I did an article a few days ago on this exact topic and I'll drop it in the description.Well, it's a very quick watch, just a couple of minutes. I do recommend checking it out. I knew the Android emulator needed to be approached with caution, but instead of being met with hostility, the developer was very forthcoming and friendly and was more than willing to discuss the remaining barriers and the path to overcome them. The next part of the statement is a little bit technical here, and I'm not going to.Didn't explain it just to try to keep the length of this article.

The next part of the statement here is huge. In addition, the developer very kindly let us see the early alpha of the emulator and it runs better than most of us expected. That alone is huge and it gets even better here. We are really looking forward to recommending it to all those wanting PCSX2. On Android this is probably the best it's going to get. So if you're looking for PCSX 2 on Android, well, AetherSX2 is definitely the way to go here and it looks like it's going to be the only way to go here. On top of that, getting an endorsement from PCSX 2 is massive and this could have an endorsement from PCSX2. Well, that's it. I don't want to say it's unheard of, but that is extremely good. 

The last part of this statement here is incredibly important and it's more. You than them, they say. For final words, we'd like to warn the community about false information and fake software. So far we have even caught numerous fake APK's, ongoing impersonation attempts, baked and stolen articles, and misinformation regarding ASX Two. We want to emphasize that it is currently in closed beta and is only available for Select.People, I'm not included in that while there is currently no version available to the public, the emulator is going to be free once released, collect no data, and is not planned to be distributed outside of the Google Play Store.

For your own safety here, if you're looking for the 8th or Aether SX2 APK, chances are if you find it is malicious, don't download or install any APKs.That you found floating around online. Don't pay attention to people claiming to be a developer other than Tawaret there who is on Reddit. Don't believe anybody is affiliated with either SX2 unless confirmed by Tahereh. And yes, Talking Udon is affiliated with either SX2 and he shared some footage of it. And the last point here, don't trust any social media outlet except the official subreddit. AetherSX2, unless trusted news sources report on it like this guy, Tell Ruth at the time of posting has no other social presence such as discord. 

Pcsx2 on Android? Summary

So to summery everything up here, and basically five different points, AetherSX2 is real. AetherSX2 is basically PCSX 2 for Android 8 or AetherSX2 is fully supported from PCSX 2 and they're actually really impressed with it. AetherSX2 will not contain any ads, it will be completely free and available on the Google Play Store. And the last point here, This is all amazing. At the end of the day here I was not lying when I said I was going to be.Being very close to this emulator, I am extremely excited for Aether SX2 and everything we hear about it just keeps getting better and better.
